As I reflect on 2016 and all of the New Years Resolutions I didn’t accomplish, I realize that this year could be my most impactful year so far. From solo backpacking, graduating college, starting a career, switching careers, and so much in-between.. I would say this year was pretty wild.

I helped with the launch of Reason Church in Portland, Oregon.
I found a chute on a mountain in Hawaii and used it as a waterslide.
I slept in a yurt on a hawaiian coffee farm.
I met Oliver, a helicopter pilot from Switzerland, couch surfed and got a free tour of the island from above.

I cycled above Auckland, New Zealand without realizing the bike I was using had gears. Oops
I did a 18 mile day hike in alpine terrain.
I jumped a fence and illegally rock climbed barefoot at the pancake rocks.
I jumped in a waterfall at a glacier with Anton from Sweden.

I backflipped into a canyon in New Zealand on a swing.
I hiked, a lot.
I also hitchhiked a lot.
I rock climbed with the locals in New Zealand.
I scrambled up a mountain to this little red hut, and barely made it down before getting caught in a storm in my tent for the night with 50mph winds.

I swam with wild dolphins in New Zealand.
I went skydiving in Australia.
I saw Cinemusica at the Sydney Opera House.
I swam in a pool on the ocean.
I went on another free helicopter ride above a different Hawaiian island.

I spent my grandma’s last moments before she went to paradise with her.
I walked across a stage to officially graduate.
I got to see my best friend again.
I went to New York to help Kassala move.

I moved into a studio in Portland.
I played soccer on the Oregon coast with strangers.
I started rock climbing again.
I had some Oregon lake days.
July |
I found out my sister and brother in law were having a little girl.
I started working for KPMG and went to Dallas, Texas for training.
I birthday partied for Bekah.
August |
I went to Timbers games.
I did a rope swing into the river and took a photo that should definitely be an album cover.
I made s’mores by the beach.
September |
I went to Detroit for work.
I swam in a waterfall with Elisha.
I chased the sunset.
I spent a lot of time with Harry.
I said goodbye to Janine before she moved back to Arizona.

I got to experience some falls days in Montana with Sara.
I hiked in Glacier National Park.
I went to Blazers games and got to hangout Meyers after.
I announced my decision to change careers on the day I turned 23.
November |
I had a camp out in my tent inside my studio.
I got to see Kassala and we went to the coast.
I rode the Biketown bikes through the city in the pouring rain to find an outdoor basketball court.
I hiked in a forest by the city.
I started working at Portland Gear.
I became an aunt to baby Clara Grace!
December |
I had my first Portland snow day.
I had a lot of Christmas parities, this one in particular was way too good.
I spent Christmas in Oregon with my family.
I also spent Christmas with the Lider family.
I had coffee at the coast with Lars and we did a hike/trail run up the mountain.
Some of my favorite un-photographed moments include the visits and road trips with my family, the many sporting events, and ridiculously fun moments at my new job.
2016 has been so, so good. Looking forward to what 2017 has in store for me.
